It turned out to be sunny and not quite as hot as expected. All shooters were able to power through the 100 targets of English Sporting in quick time to get in out the heat and enjoy lunch in the cool clubrooms.
The shootoff over 2 new stands and 20 targets was very tight, with many coming in on 18/20 and 19/20. However it was impossible to best an in form Peter Rugless who shot it clean to win our 2017 English Sporting Championships
